The importance of physical therapy in Down's syndrome's treatment

I’m going to talk about the importance of physical therapy in the treatment for the children with Down’s syndrome.
It’s an interesting topic because most people think that physical therapy only repairs   bones or joints, but it’s much more than that.
Down’s syndrome is a genetic disease, caused by a trisomy in the 21th chromosome. Persons who have this alteration are mentally retarded and have recognizable physical features.
I will name these children’s special features to clarify the importance of physical therapy treatments.
I’m going to mention techniques and procedures used on children with this disease.
Finally I will conclude how important physical therapy is for Down’s syndrome treatment.
